Paris’ oldest couture house Lanvin embodies everything that denotes pure Parisian style. The brand oozes elegance and style, often adding a somewhat avant-garde edge. Now under the creative direction of Alber Elbaz, the designer clothing label continues to flourish amongst the fashion greats season after season. This August, a special accessories collection for Winter 2012 is being released to mark the unique upcoming occasion that is Elbaz’s ten-year anniversary at the helm of Lanvin.
This one off collection epitomises the “modernity of the house’s emblematic codes and a certain couture-style refinement in the fabrics, colours and finishing details”. Created especially for this anniversary, the capsule collection “Happy” Les 10 Ans features ten uniquely themed mini sets, each including a classic bag, an adorning shoe and a stunning piece of jewellery to build the ultimate girls wardrobe.
The “Bijou” theme presents a Happy bag embroidered in diamanté and sequins with a malachite effect cabochon strap and a brass floral motif, both reflected in the pendant necklace, and a ballet slipper with a diamanté toe. While the “Tulle and Pearls” edition pays direct homage to the house’s famous necklace of pearls covered in tulle, translated into a bag covered with tulle strips, a five-row rope of tulle-covered pearls and a ballet slipper with pompoms and diamanté pearls.
An in-depth look at the entire collection is shown in the slideshow images above.
Prices start from £340 and all pieces from the “HAPPY” 10 years line will be available in LANVIN boutiques and online on August 2012.
