Prime Steak and More at Palm London

by

Star of the table at Palm is the steak: New York strip, rump and boneless rib-eye to be precise. Sourced exclusively from Smithfield stalwart – Tom Hixson & Co – and grilled to perfection by Executive Chef Spencer Westcott and his kitchen, the Palm serves gorgeously marbled and tender corn fed, hand selected USDA Prime beef aged for a minimum of 35 days … But the reasons to choose Palm don’t stop with the steaks.

Nip/Tuck Package at W London’s Away Spa and Spice Market Restaurant

by

Seemingly a world away from the bustle of Chinatown and the throngs of folk passing through Leicester Square, the Away Spa is a lofty and calming retreat situated at the W London hotel a mere six storeys above all the urban action. Down on the ground floor, the W’s Spice Market restaurant exudes its own tranquil feel while allowing guests to dine and people-watch in comfort and style. Combining a visit to both spa and restaurant at the W yields a luxuriant ‘escape from it all’ in a conveniently central setting.

Naga Restaurant | Chinese Food in the Heart of Kensington

by

Stepping in from a blustery installment of Kensington high street, I found myself thrown into a hazy Oriental dream. A dim-lit bar, aromatic candles and calming far eastern music – you know the type; swishing water, distant bird call – all providing atmospheric bliss as I took a seat in the cozy den of a bar at Naga Restaurant.

C Restaurant: a taste of Vancouver

by

Vancouver is a city that has much to offer apart from the beautiful scenery it is a centre for food and a visit to this city of sea and mountains can’t be complete without dining at C, a eatery that calls it’s self ‘Vancouver’s most progressive sea food restaurant.

SUDA Thai | providing a modern contemporary twist on Thai cuisine

by

A welcome addition to the trendy new St Martin’s Courtyard development, SUDA Thai serves up cuisine that is as contemporary as the development itself. Set over two floors with the added addition of alfresco space, this restaurant is as stylish as they come, with the floor-to-ceiling glass front creating a particularly bright modern dining space. The stark contrast between the dark feature walls and light flooring is further opened up by the high ceilings with exposed structural steels and an industrious looking ventilation system that runs along it. Low hanging lights over the individual tables provide just enough intimacy for couples seeking a more secluded dining experience whilst a scattering of plants break the otherwise entirely open-plan space and keep the Feng Shui conscience at ease.

Assaggetti – ‘Not all Italian restaurants are just Pasta or Pizza’

by

Located just around the corner from Piccadilly Circus, Assaggetti is right in the heart of the West End’s Theatre circuit and directly opposite the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Whilst I do not want to pigeon-hole it as Theatre going restaurant, it certainly does lend itself well to being the perfect pre-Theatre destination for nibbles and nourishment.
