What: On Thursday 8th December Love Brand & Co hosted a launch Party to celebrate their exclusive Trunks for Trunks swimwear line in aid of endangered Asian elephants. All proceeds of the evening went to the Elephant Family Charity.
Where: The private room at the chic Hempel Hotel

How: A host of glamorous guests and famous faces were greeted by Founder and Creative Director Oliver Tomalin, who later explained the essence of the collection – fun, playful and refreshing, while being an extremely high quality and thought provoking summer essential.
The collection had been artfully pinned to the walls of the hotel, casting a tropical array of colour and design about the room.
The centerpiece was a picture of Asian elephants enlarged on a big screen, serving as a poignant reminder of the brand’s charitable attachment.
Once settled and suitably sweetened by the steady flow of alcohol (the blue moon martini making its presence particularly prominent with its bedazzling vivid colour) – the charity auction got underway. Prizes reflected the prestige of Love Brand and its sponsors and included wonderfully extravagant, eco lux holidays in Thailand, Spain, India, Argentina and any Ethidad Airway destination under the sun for one lucky winner. Also up for grabs was a stunning baby sculpture of an elephant, donated by the Elephant Family.
Favourite Pair of Trunks: Has to be the ‘Cherry on Top’ – a sporty white mono cherry print on a bright red ground which was modeled by Elephant Family founder Mark Shand during his speech. Mark happily exclaimed: “It’s a perfect fit and in an ideal world I would spend most of my time in these swimming trunks”.
Who: Mark Shand, brother of the Duchess of Cornwall, Nickolas Grace, Nicky Haslam, Blaise Patrick, Emma Wigan, Rose and Edwina Langley and the stars of “Made in Chelsea” Spencer Matthews and Hugo Taylor were among the cool crowd.
Result: A very fashionable and fun evening with unbeatable prizes, the bluest cocktails I’ve ever seen and the ultimate trunks to take on any holiday. Watch out Vilebrequin – looks like you’ve got some competition on your trunks.
