A celebration of timeless quality and elegance: the Chanel Little Black Jacket exhibition comes to London at The Saatchi Gallery

Chanel Exhibition 2 -1

London’s fashionistas are in for a treat this autumn, as an iconic fashion exhibition is opening in October in celebration of the quintessentially classic Little Black Jacket by Chanel. The glamorous Chanel Little Black Jacket exhibition has previously been on show in Tokyo, New York, Hong Kong and Taipei, and this autumn it will set up home in on the King’s Road in Chelsea, in the befittingly elegant Saatchi Gallery.

The rather ingenious concept behind the exhibition was conceived and founded by Chanel’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld and ex-Paris Vogue editor, Carine Roitfeld, and features 113 celebrities and friends of the fashion house modelling Chanel’s iconic creation in an array of different styles. Expect noteworthy appearances from Sarah-Jessica Parker, Vanessa Paradis, Lily Allen, Claudia Schiffer and Alexa Chung.

The event aims to showcase the timeless quality and endurance of Chanel’s iconic design, and exhibit the prestigious fashion house’s versatility, originality, superiority and excellence.

Elsewhere in the city, Chanel boutique stores in Bond Street, Sloane Street and Brompton Cross shall present a selection of jackets from the latest collections in elegant, celebratory window displays, to accompany the exhibition.

The exhibition will run from 12th – 28th October 2012.

Opening hours: 10:00AM-6:00PM, 7 days a week, last entry 5:30PM. Free admission.
