Mercedes-Benz has outdone itself, once again, and developed a line of furniture. Unveiled during the last Milan furniture fair, the designs are a collaboration between the prestigious car manufacturer and the Formitalia Luxury Group, one of the leading Italian furniture houses. Mercedes-Benz furniture will be sold under the minimalistic and imaginative branding; Mercedes-Benz Style.
So far, the collection consists of one sofa, a chaise lounge, a dining room table, various chairs, a side board, a shelf unit with integrated home theatre system, a chest of drawers and a bed. A rather meagre selection it may seem, but in true Benz fashion all the pieces uphold the prestige reputation the company is renowned for. Elegant and graceful lines are the main attraction of the collection, with comfortable upholstery and expertly crafted seam detailing. Whilst the range is undoubtedly futuristic looking, the collection remains duly elegant and sleek, and would make a fine addition to any home or office that values cutting edge design and a crisp finish.
The collection will be sold worldwide in an exclusive selection of addresses in October 2012. Prices have not been announced yet.
