The latest beacon of hedonism to arrive in the Royal Borough. Ruski’s Tavern takes it up a notch

Last night saw the launch of another Kensington nightspot – with a twist. The Russian-themed bar is the latest venture of nightlife entrepreneurs Diego Bivero-Volpe, 30 and Antoin Commane, 28, the dynamic duo responsible for Bodo’s Schloss and The Brompton Club.

Among the usual celebrity cache that turned up, royal sibling du jour James Middleton arrived loved up, with his new beau Donna Air. The 26-year-old brother of new mum Kate Middleton and Ms Air – 8 years his senior – were clearly smitten, with ample PDA in full force.

Guests indulged in an exquisite range of vodka and caviar. The vodka flight will set you back just £50 for five shots of vodka and five spoons of caviar #bargain. The house pour is the exclusive Beluga Gold Line vodka and the Tavern even serves Russia’s ultimate hangover cure: black bread with steak tartare and caviar – during the wee hours.

Ruski’s Tavern is definitely worth a visit for the innovative vodka cocktails and moorish blinis. The Rasputin is served alongside a subtly smoking incense burner, and the Tolstoy (long drink) is served in a flask, hidden inside an antique copy of War and Peace.

The Moscow Mule is our fave #I’llbeback
