Adamina Spa of Kensington is a utopic gem hidden behind the solid doors of an old bank which recently re-launched as a Concept Spa by [comfort zone]. Housed in a glorious period building, one minute away from the beautiful Holland Park, I can already tell it is set to become a frequent guilty pleasure.

Adamina Spa of Kensington Hallway ImageMy first visit took place on an unpleasantly humid summers day in London. However, upon stepping into the Kensington High Street spa, I was transported into a world of serene tranquillity, enough to lift any commuters’ mood. The reception staff were warm and welcoming, immediately leading me to a stunning and very comfortable vintage chaise longue where I waited for a brief moment before being introduced to the masseuse who would be treating me. I was then guided downstairs, through a hallway, dimly lit by lanterns, along a pebble path to the changing room which looked more like a princess’ dressing room. The room was beautifully adorned with ornate dressing tables, decadent mirrors and a private locker offering a dressing gown, slippers and towels to encourage guests to make use of the wet room and steam room all to be found in the luxurious changing room of this most luxurious spa.

Once in the private treatment room, the bed moulded to my body shape, allowing me to sink in comfortably as the calming sounds of waves gently crashing and birds flying play aloud, distancing me entirely from the hustle and bustle which I left at the door. My treatment started with an exfoliating all over [comfort zone] Fruity Peel Scrub before taking a shower that left my skin feeling like silk. Then I was ready for the divine sixty minute [comfort zone] Aromasoul Mediterranean massage that would follow. Inspired by the waves of the Mediterranean ocean, the massage is specifically designed to stimulate circulation and lymphatic flow. Each movement performed draws from the ripples and the waves of the ocean and with the calming sounds playing in the background, my mind was taken to a place of complete serenity. A luscious mixture of oregano, basil and lemon were all blended for the massage oil to soothe the senses, and I can safely say they did just the trick.

My treatment concluded with a detoxifying blended herbal tea designed to complement the specific massage I received. I sipped this whilst reading through magazines in the lounging area before making full use of the steam room that I had all to myself. Upon leaving, you also have the opportunity to purchase [comfort zone]’s advanced home care system. The extensive product menu, prescribed by beauty therapists, provides treatments and solutions to suit all skincare conditions and concerns, resulting in soft and supple skin with a healthy glow. Meaning the unique and sensorial experience that began at the spa can continue at home.

Named after Adamina, the Daughter of Earth, this luxurious spa reflects the nurturing and rejuvenating persona of Mother Nature herself, perfectly complimenting the [comfort zone] ethos. Taking inspiration from ancient techniques from around the world, Aromasoul is a multi-sensorial journey stimulating mind, body and soul taking you on a virtual journey around the world. So take some time out of the office and travel far away on a sensual voyage with [comfort zone] Adamina Spa of Kensington.
