Stuart Hughes' £3billion Baia 100 Supreme
The world’s most unique and probably most expensive yacht “History Supreme”.
This project was commissioned for Stuart Hughes of Liverpool U.K. from an anonymous leading Malaysian businessman. At 100ft the yacht took 3 years to complete, a circa of 100,000 kilograms of solid gold and platinum were added to this truly lavish project. All features including deck, dinning area, rails and anchor were made from precious metals. The base of the vessel was wrapped in gold, a thin layer was formed to embrace this huge section. The main sleeping quarter was adorned with platinum accents of which included a wall feature made from meteoric stone with genuine Dinosaur bone shaved in from the raptor T–REX. The total cost of this project amounted to an eye-watering £3 billion and was more than double that of Abramovich’s Eclipse, which is currently the largest private yacht in the world. This is without doubt ‘the’ most exclusive yacht ever made!

Tropical Island Paradise by Yacht Island Design
“Tropical Island Paradise” is now the second proposal, following on from their first “Streets of Monaco” design. For this design the theme centres around a secluded island paradise, with elements inspired by the islands of the Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Polynesia. This yacht has an overall length of 90m, a beam of 33m, a draft of 8m and is designed to accommodate 10 guests. A diesel electrical power plant propels the vessel to a maximum speed of 15 knots. The hull will be constructed of steel with the super structure a mixture of aluminium and FRP.
The exterior was designed to give the impression of waves breaking around a volcanic island, whilst maintaining the look of a contemporary yacht design. The main exterior deck is a private beach “cove” with a voluminous ocean view swimming pool, fed by a stream emanating from a cascading waterfall on the volcano. Around the pool are a number of private cabanas, nestled between palm trees, offering a relaxing outlook over the pool and ocean beyond. Behind these cabanas there is a bar area, communal seating and an area for outdoor dining.
The aft deck is a dedicated helicopter landing platform. A unique feature of this yacht is the deployable Floating beach islands, giving a sea level platform from which to enjoy all manner of water activities or just relax in one of the floating cabanas. The interior features an owners suite located inside the volcano and spread over two decks. Its living room balcony affords views out over the front of the yacht from behind the waterfall. Located behind the owners bedroom is the owners private spa and balcony. Further accommodation takes the form of four VIP suites all having private balconies and direct access up into the main deck cabanas.
Indoor entertainment is catered for by way of a cinema, library, games room and gym, with relaxation options in the form of a fully equipped spa and a multitude of lounges each offering their own unique ambiance.

Abramovich's Eclipse available to charter!?
Little more than 6 months after finally having taken delivery of Eclipse, the world’s largest yacht, Roman Abramovich is now already offering it up for charter at an absolutely staggering rate of $2 million (£1.24m) per week.
The 538-ft (162m) Blohm + Voss built super-yacht is currently available to charter through ultra-exclusive brokerage SuperYachtsMonaco, and will now be the World’s Most Expensive Yacht to charter (trumping Spielberg’s yacht by an extra $1million).
Eclipse, which has space for 30 guests and 75 crew members, reportedly features a military-grade missile defense system, armour plating, bulletproof windows, three helipads, two swimming pools and a wellness center, among other luxurious amenities, not to mention his anti-paparazzi laser shield to field-off any unwanted snooping photographers.
Its annual running costs are reputed to be around $50million (£31m) filling the fuel tank alone costs $650,000 (£403,000).
It does however almost seems a shame that Roman Abramovich himself has spent a mere few (reported) hours on board the vessel.

Yacht “Adastra” is the result of more than 5 years of design and discussion with the owners, to build a yacht that meets the needs of a very experienced ocean voyaging couple and their family, and to provide the level of comfort and style that would be expected in a yacht of this class and size. No effort has been spared in the challenge to produce a beautiful yacht that will have low fuel consumption and yet provide excellent sea keeping qualities and luxurious accommodation.

Yacht “Adastra” takes the power trimaran concept further than has ever been attempted before, previous vessels like “Earthrace” and “Cable and Wireless” were stripped out record breaking machines. The challenge of turning this concept into a viable luxury yacht has led us to further research and to develop new thinking on stability and comfort at sea for this type of craft.

Extensive tank testing and radio controlled model tests in waves have been carried out to analyze stability and performance. Outrigger height has been optimized for ease of motion at sea, and a new outrigger shape has been developed to increase stability in waves. We have undertaken a state of the art structural analysis of all the major components in the yacht in order to achieve the light weight required for very low fuel consumption. All this has resulted in the exceptional vessel that is nearing completion in China.
Adastra’s 16 metre beam creates a spacious saloon area on the main deck which offers superb views through a panoramic window and accommodates a lounge area, dining table, and navigation station. A forward facing door through the saloon window gives easy access to a large sunbed on the foredeck. The aft deck has a sofa and bar area to port and a dining area to starboard, further aft of this there is space for a 4.9 metre tender and directly below is a garage which can store a 3.1 metre tender. The garage door has been designed to fold out and create a large dive platform.

Spielberg's yacht available to charter
You’d think that having just taken delivery of his incredible new $200 million megayacht, the 282-foot Seven Seas, that Steven Spielberg would want to keep the pleasure all to himself.
However the famed director, recently spotted on board his new toy in St. Maarten, is already offering it as the world’s most expensive yacht charter at an eye-popping rate of $1.3 million per week. That’s more than double the cost of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ iPad-controlled superyacht, Solemates, that everyone was fawning over in St. Barth’s recently.

Roman Abramovich's Yacht laser-shield
Russian Billionaire Installs Anti-Photo Shield on Giant Yacht
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has a rather curious new addition built in to his latest oversized yacht. The 557-foot boat Eclipse, the price tag of which has almost doubled since original plans were drawn to almost $1.2 billion, set sail this week with a slew of show-off features, from two helipads, two swimming pools and six-foot movie screens in all guest cabins, to a mini-submarine and missile-proof windows to combat piracy.
It might not seem like somebody with such ostentatious tastes would crave privacy, but along with these expensive toys, Ambramovich has installed an anti-paparazzi “shield”. Lasers sweep the surroundings and when they detect a CCD, they fire a bolt of light right at the camera to obliterate any photograph. According to the Times, these don’t run all the time, so friends and guests should still be able to grab snaps. Instead, they will be activated when guards spot the scourge of professional photography, paparazzi, loitering nearby….
