Other Criteria announce it will exclusively sell a special limited edition charity bass guitar produced jointly by Damien Hirst and Flea, the bass player from The Red Hot Chili Peppers. The unique spin painted bass guitars, available from early November 2011, will unite the worlds of art and music with profits from sales going to Flea‟s charity, Silverlake Conservatory of Music. The highly collectable guitars are available in three editions all of which are signed by Flea and Damien Hirst on the back of the individually spun body with the edition number punched on the base of the neck and the Hirst-Flea logo on the headstock.

The other two editions, again individually spun, one in Colour, and one in Black and White, are both editions of 125 (starting at £10,000), and have a spin design printed on the case.

Flea established Silverlake Conservatory of Music in 2011 with his childhood friend, Keith Barry. Based in Los Angeles, its primary focus is on the youth of the community, to enrich their lives through music, offering affordable or free music lessons and instruments. It also grants scholarships to children in need.
