Lying on a private estate deep within the beautiful Somerset countryside, you will discover our beautiful Manor House estate.
Overlooking the Blackdown Hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty sits The Manor and The Lake House. Dating back to the 13th Century, this enchanting home has been lovingly refurbished and modernised to the highest of standards, boasting indulgent luxurious in a historical setting. When renting The Manor and The Lake House together, they provide up to 16 bedrooms. The Manor House by itself offers 11 elegant bedrooms sleeping up to 24 guests. The individually styled suites range from the Knight’s Quarters in the heights of The Manor to the Four Poster Lord Spence or Duke of Wellington Suites, situated in the corners of the North Wings. The large banquet room, drawing room and beautiful wooded-paneled pool room provide ideal places in which to entertain guests. There is also a cinema room, snug room and large country kitchen.
Set apart from the main house lies the 13th Century thatched Lake House offering additional luxury accommodation. The property overlooks the estate’s lake and boasts 5 double bedrooms and a beautiful open-plan living and dining area. The Lake House is an ideal location for private wedding receptions or smaller gathering. The Lake House can be rented with all without The Manor House.
Within the seven acres of the estate there is a miniature lake, Koi pond, formal impeccable gardens, rose garden, heated swimming pool, large paddock, tennis court and croquet lawn.
Upon request, The Manor and The Lake House can come with a dedicated catering team. The properties can either be rented as an entity or rented on an individual basis. Currency conversion
Whilst prices are quoted in US Dollars, Quintessentially Villas can also receive payment in GBP Sterling or Euros and you will be advised the conversion rate applicable.
Cancellation charges
- 30% of the total rental fee if the cancellation is notified more than or equal to 40 days before the start of rental period;
- 50% if cancellation is notified between 39 and 30 days before the start of rental period;
- 60% if cancellation is notified between 29 and 22 days before the start of rental period;
- 80% if cancellation is notified between 21 and 15 days before the start of rental period100% if cancellation is notified during the 14 days before the start of rental period.
