History

In Old French, ‘Comte des Cierges’ (pronounced Com des C’erge) translates to ‘Keeper of the Candles’. This was the title given to the servants of French noblemen, who were responsible for the heating and lighting of their residences. As the ‘Comte de Cierges’ became a more established role, the job evolved to encompass more duties and responsibilities. Inevitably, this led to them practically organising anything and everything that the noblemen required. Over time this title became abbreviated to ‘concierge’.

CDC Lifestyle may seem a far-cry from this origin, but it has remained our company’s guiding ethos. We keep the candles burning brightly, shedding light where it is due, and ensuring our noble members are forever inspired by our content. We tend to their needs and requirements by means of exclusive member privileges, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
