London Jewellery Designer Watch: Alice Cicolini

Alice Cicolini

There are some wonderfully talented jewellery designers working in London at present and one of the names that keeps popping onto my radar is Alice Cicolini, a London-based designer of jewellery, creative director and author.

Alice Cicolini is best known for her unique and beautiful jewellery, inspired by the traditional enamelling techniques of Persia and India. The intricately crafted and eye-catching patterns of the Silk Route in the stunning ring pictured above are vividly colourful and wonderful to see. The enamel work is handmade and certainly stands out from the crowd in the world of fine jewellery if you are thinking of a beautiful gift for 2013, or even dropping a hint or two.

Alice Cicolini has also recently collaborated with leading London based pearl brand, Winterson Pearl Jewellery. Their new collection is not due until the spring 2013, but some of the first pieces from the collaboration point to a continuation of the pair’s dedication to offering the sort of high-end luxury jewellery that takes the breath away.

Pearl Ring

Comprising a contemporary collection of pearl rings, with the sort of clean lines and design that pearls can enjoy alongside their traditional qualities, this selection of luxury pearl rings should prove to be a resounding success. The most original piece in the first group of the collection is the exceptional Luna Rose Tahitian Pearl ring pictured, with a Tahitian pearl whose unusual grey-purple Aubergine colour yummily matches the pink sapphire in the ring.  It isn’t difficult to see why the Winterson pearl rings collection is proving so popular amongst fans of luxury jewellery.

It is always thrilling to see exciting collaborations between jewellery designers and established jewellery retailers such as Winterson.  If you are looking for some fantastic and luxurious pearl gifts this Christmas, the Alice Cicolini designed pearl rings would be a wonderful choice.
