Get a taste of London’s culinary excellence at this Year’s Taste of London Festival

Celebrate London’s world class cuisine at this year’s Taste of London event taking place from the 21st to the 24th June. Forty of London’s top restaurants will gather in Regent’s Park for the most gastronomic and glamorous feast yet. Old, classic favourites and trendy new restaurants alike will be there accompanied by a boutique food market of 200 premium brands and artisan producers, chef demos and foodie entertainment for this four day alfresco spectacular.

You will be able to create your own perfect tasting menu from the likes of Michelin-starred Le Gavroche, Gauthier Soho and Pollen Street Social. Between bites head to the AEG Taste Theatre and learn kitchen secrets from internationally renowned chefs such Nuno Mendes, David Chang, Raymond Blanc and Michel Roux Jr.

Although the event is celebratory of London’s exquisite culinary offerings, food from many cultures can be tasted at the event. Your taste buds will be taken on a world-wide tour with foodie offerings from Peru, Brazil and Malaysia, as well as our dedicated Taste of Thailand section. There will also be entertainment where you can watch chefs take on the challenge of the British BBQ Championships, or enter yourself into the amateur competition if you think you have what it takes.

For the ultimate experience, you’ll have to attend the Secret Garden summer party, which lies just a hop, skip and a jump away from the main event. There’s bubbles at the Laurent -Perrier Rose champagne reception, a bandstand with live music & DJ sets, an exclusive cocktail bar & alfresco lounge area and an exciting line-up of mini master classes and tastings, intimate chef Q&As and book signings.

What’s more, Secret Garden ticket holders will exclusively enjoy fast-track entry to the show, £30 worth of Crowns (dining currency), a Taste Recipe Book worth £10 and priority seating in the Taste Theatre. With all these exciting activities and entertainments on offer, the event promises to be a brilliant day out for foodies, ending in a luxurious and relaxing Secret Garden Summer Party which will ooze glamour and make the perfect end to a fabulous day.

In collaboration with the Taste festivals, Claridge’s Hotel are also paying tribute to fine cuisine by welcoming the head Chef at Noma Restaurant, Rene Redzepi to create ‘A Taste of Noma at Claridge’s.’ In order to mark the celebration of the London 2012 Olympics, Redzepi, chef at the famous Copenhagen twice-named ‘best restaurant the world,’ will be creating a five course menu at the landmark Mayfair Hotel which will reflect his signature flavour and dishes from Noma, using local, seasonal British ingredients.

Redzepi comments: “We are excited about the opportunity to be part of the celebration of the Olympic Games in London and to work closely with the team at Claridge’s. It is a different set-up from our home field, but we look forward to exploring the bounty of a different part of the world.”
