Salon Privé kicks-off in style as the sunshine returns for what proved to be glorious day out at Syon Park

McLaren MP4-12C at Salon Prive Syon Park London 2012

With a sudden burst of brilliant summer weather, Salon Privé could not have chosen a better time to arrive. Amongst automotive connoisseurs, Salon Privé has fast developed a solid reputation as being one of the finest events of it’s kind, and with easily the largest selection of vintage Bugatti and Ferrari F40 cars that I have ever witnessed in the same location together, Salon Privé is now a must-attend date on the motoring calendar.

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept of Salon Privé, the event is firmly established as the UK’s most prestigious Super Car Show, whilst the Concours d’Elégance is a calendar highlight amongst enthusiasts, collectors and buyers of the modern and classic super cars and widely regarded as amongst the top three car events in the world. Now in its 7th consecutive year the show is, once again, being held at the spectacular Syon Park, a beautiful estate steeped in a rich history and the now home of His Grace The Duke of Northumberland.

Every year, Salon Privé welcomes a number of automotive marques and luxury brands to its event, and this year is no different, with super cars and luxury brands promoting themselves in the finest way possible. With hospitality always a key feature of Salon Privé, the event has managed to established itself as a permanent fixture on the London social scene. Set against the stunning backdrop of Syon Park, and boasting Pommery Champagne, lobster luncheon and traditional afternoon tea, Salon Privé is as much a glamorous Garden Party as it a nirvana for motoring enthusiasts.

With two days left at Salon Privé, it’s not too late to soak up the sunshine at Syon Park. Tickets for the Diamond Jubilee Ball tonight at 7pm are at priced £295 pp (ex vat), whilst tickets for the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance Judging Day are priced at £225 pp (ex vat).
